The Sherlock violin (on the left) - pictured with Perthshire fiddler Pete Clarke.The other violin he is holding was made by Mathew Hardie (Edinburgh 1803). Hardie is known as the Scottish Stradivari.Both violins are permanent exhibits in the Edinburgh University Collection Of Historic Musical Instruments - a world ranking collection.
